About the ERG

This well established working group comprising representatives from industry and trade associations monitors new and emerging regulatory issues both in the UK and overseas to assess its potential impact and provides feedback to Government and/or shares information on how to address them.

The Group comprises representatives from AMDEA, BEAMA, ECSN, EdifERA, Electronics Yorkshire, ESTnet, GAMBICA, IABM, IIOM, NXP Semiconductor, SETsquared and techUK.

Material efficiency in support of a circular economy

The Commission is aiming to present a new, more ambitious circular economy strategy late in 2015, to transform Europe into a more competitive resource-efficient economy, addressing a range of economic sectors, including waste. The Commission is engaged in a thorough reflection on how the objective of circular economy can be reached in an efficient way that is fully compatible with the jobs and growth agenda.
